I have a broad background in biology with specific training and expertise in sensory neuroscience and neurodevelopment. My main area of research is on developmental plasticity in the context of hearing development. The current focus of my lab is on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of brain injury caused by oxygen shortage in neonates, and the long-term functional consequences of cellular damage for sound processing and voice production.
